Tsahkna: The international community must increase pressure on Russia
Tallinn, February 6 (Hibya) – Estonian Minister of Foreign Affairs Margus Tsahkna said that the international community must increase pressure on Russia, stressing that concessions only encourage further abuses.
Estonian Foreign Minister Tsahkna stated that Russia is using children as weapons and that the world must not turn a blind eye to this.
Tsahkna noted that at the Annual Human Rights Conference he delivered the opening speech at a panel focusing on thousands of Ukrainian children who were illegally deported to Russia and subjected there to propaganda, militarization and forced Russification, saying: “This must end. The international community must increase pressure on Russia; concessions only encourage more abuse.”
Tsahkna added that Estonia will continue to work with its partners to bring every child home and to ensure that those responsible for these war crimes are held accountable.
