Tsahkna: We stand with Iran’s civil society
Tallinn, 28 January (Hibya) – Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said they stand with Iran’s civil society, independent media and the right of everyone to live freely, without fear.
Tsahkna stated that the Estonian parliament has issued a strong statement condemning the Iranian regime’s systematic human rights violations and expressing firm support for the Iranian people’s struggle for freedom, democracy and the rule of law.
Condemning repression and calling on the EU and democratic partners to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization and increase pressure on those responsible for abuses, Tsahkna said: “We stand with Iran’s civil society, independent media and the right of everyone to live freely, without fear.”
