The ministry said in a statement that Ukrainian teams had departed for France to help prevent loss of life and protect residential areas.

“Seventy Ukrainian firefighters and 15 specialized vehicles have been deployed to France under the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism. Ukraine is also ready to provide aerial firefighting support if needed,” the statement said.

The statement noted that Ukrainian teams have extensive experience in responding to large-scale fires, conducting search-and-rescue operations, and working under difficult conditions due to Russia's attacks. “Even while defending itself against Russia's full-scale invasion, Ukraine is ready to support the countries that stood by it during its most difficult days,” it said.
