The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a congratulatory message on the occasion of Emperor Naruhito’s birthday and Japan’s National Day.

The statement read: “On the occasion of Japan’s National Day and the birthday of His Majesty Emperor Naruhito, we extend our sincere congratulations. Ukraine attaches great importance to its close partnership with Japan, based on shared democratic values and a strong commitment to the rules-based international order.”

The ministry emphasized: “We are sincerely grateful for Japan’s unwavering humanitarian, economic, and technical support during this historically challenging period for our country.”

The statement added: “Today, our countries face common and constantly evolving security threats. Ukraine is ready to work closely with Japan to strengthen stability and prosperity in Europe and the Indo-Pacific.”
