UN: Humanitarian crisis in Lebanon is deepening
New York, June 1 (Hibya) - The United Nations (UN) announced that the humanitarian situation in Lebanon is steadily worsening and that the number of displaced people in the country has exceeded one million.
The United Nations reported that the humanitarian situation in Lebanon continues to deteriorate.
The statement noted that many people are facing serious difficulties in accessing basic necessities due to rising food prices. It also stated that the UN World Food Programme (WFP) is trying to increase its assistance, but greater access and additional funding are needed.
UN officials warned that humanitarian aid capacity in the region may be insufficient to cope with the current crisis.
