UNRWA: Children in Gaza remain out of school for the third consecutive year
New York, October 16 (Hibya) — The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) has reported that children in Gaza have been unable to attend school for the third consecutive year.
In a statement, UNRWA said that children in Gaza remain out of school for the third year in a row.
The agency noted that for approximately 660,000 boys and girls, returning to learning is not only about education but also about beginning to recover from deep trauma. “UNRWA, the largest humanitarian organization in Gaza, stands ready to support them,” the statement added.
