Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

CENTCOM announced that a commercial vessel was intercepted in the Persian Gulf as part of the maritime blockade measures imposed on Iran.

According to the statement, on July 15 the empty oil tanker M/T Belma, sailing under the flag of Curaçao, was detected in international waters heading toward Khark Island.

The statement said the vessel continued toward the Iranian port despite warnings issued by U.S. forces. As a result, a U.S. aircraft targeted the ship's funnel with Hellfire missiles, rendering the tanker unable to continue its voyage.

CENTCOM stated that the vessel is no longer heading toward Iran.

It was also reported that U.S. forces resumed maritime blockade measures at 16:00 on July 14 against vessels traveling to or departing from Iranian ports and coastal areas.

According to the statement, during the first 24 hours of the operation, two commercial vessels were redirected, while one non-compliant vessel was disabled.

CENTCOM added that U.S. forces continue to monitor maritime activity and remain prepared to ensure enforcement of the measures.
