Due to ongoing regional tensions, it was reported that the US Mission in Saudi Arabia advised its personnel to avoid non-essential travel to military facilities in the region and to take additional precautions.

The statement noted that US citizens in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia were also advised to act similarly and said:

“The US Mission in Saudi Arabia continues to closely monitor regional developments. All travelers are advised to review the most up-to-date Security Alerts, reassess their travel plans in light of possible disruptions, and make appropriate decisions for themselves and their families. At present, there are no changes to the US Mission’s staffing structure or operations, and consular services continue as normal.”

The statement added that all US citizens are advised to develop a personal security plan, noting: “When traveling or residing abroad, crises can arise unexpectedly; a well-prepared plan helps assess potential scenarios in advance and determine the most appropriate course of action.”
