The U.S. Department of State recalled that the United States continues to support Haiti’s stability and security.

Describing the TPC’s latest statement as illegal, the Department emphasized that Prime Minister Alix Fils-Aime’s continuation in office is vital to advancing efforts to combat gangs and stabilize the country.

Addressing politicians who support gangs and destabilize the country, the Department stressed that they will pay a heavy price for their actions.

It also stated that the current violence caused by gangs can only be halted through consistent, strong leadership and the full support of the Haitian people.
