U.S. Secretary of State Rubio congratulates Honduras’ president-elect Asfura
Washington, December 26 (Hibya) – U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio congratulated Honduras’ President-elect Tito Asfura by phone on his victory and emphasized further strengthening the strong cooperation between the two countries.
U.S. Secretary of State Rubio conveyed his congratulations to President-elect Asfura during a phone call. “I am pleased to congratulate President-elect Tito Asfura on his clear victory,” Rubio said.
Rubio noted that the United States looks forward to further advancing its strong partnership with Honduras, stressing the importance of enhancing cooperation, including expanding economic ties that will benefit both countries and the region.
