Istanbul, July 6 (Hibya) - U.S. stock markets ended the trading day with mixed performance.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) rose 1.14 percent to 52,900.07 points. The S&P 500 Index finished the day little changed at 7,483.24 points.
Technology-heavy indexes came under selling pressure. The Nasdaq Composite Index fell 0.80 percent to 25,832.67 points, while the Nasdaq 100 Index declined 1.61 percent to 29,329.21 points.
The Russell 2000 Index, which tracks small-cap companies, also lost 0.55 percent to close at 2,996.11 points.
