U.S. stock markets post mixed performance with a positive bias
Istanbul, July 13 (Hibya) - U.S. markets showed a mixed but predominantly positive performance on the first trading day of the week.
U.S. markets posted a mixed performance with a positive bias on the first trading day of the week. The Dow Jones, S&P 500, and Nasdaq indices advanced, while the Russell 2000 index declined.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) rose 0.29% to 52,637.01 points. The S&P 500 index gained 0.42% to reach 7,575.39 points.
The Nasdaq Composite increased 0.29% to trade at 26,281.607 points, while the Nasdaq 100 index climbed 0.33% to 29,825.11 points.
The Russell 2000 (RUSS 2K) index, meanwhile, fell 0.49% to 2,977.805 points.
