The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.60 percent to 52,064.10 points, while the S&P 500 index declined 0.58 percent to 7,591.70 points.
The Nasdaq Composite Index lost 0.65 percent to 26,081.725 points, while the Nasdaq 100 index fell 1.08 percent to 29,103.513 points.
The Russell 2000 index lost 1.04 percent, falling to 2,890.947 points.
