U.S. strikes another boat in the Eastern Pacific, 2 killed
Washington, December 30 (Hibya) – According to the U.S. Southern Command, the U.S. military carried out an attack on Monday against a boat allegedly involved in drug trafficking in the Eastern Pacific Ocean, killing two people.
In a statement posted on X, the Southern Command said: “On December 29, at the direction of Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, Joint Task Force Southern Spear conducted a lethal kinetic strike against a vessel operated by designated terrorist organizations in international waters.”
The Southern Command said two people were killed in the attack and no U.S. military personnel were harmed.
Under Operation Southern Spear, which the Trump administration says aims to reduce drug trafficking, at least 107 people have been killed in strikes against suspected drug boats.
