Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the role of soldiers on the front line in protecting the country's independence and future.

Zelensky said, “The front. This is where independence is won. And the road to peace runs precisely through these labyrinths, through these corridors. When we say ‘Ukraine is resisting,’ that resistance begins right here, on the front line, in command centers like these and at every position where Ukraine stands. Because Ukraine has defenders, it has warriors.”

Thanking those who defend Ukraine's life, its values, its right to exist and the future of the state, Zelensky said, “I thank everyone who wears an insignia on their shoulder and carries the burden of our independence on their shoulders.”

At the end of his remarks, Zelensky expressed his gratitude and respect to all defenders, saying, “Glory to you! Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!”
