Zelensky meets Austrian Chancellor Stocker
Kyiv, January 27 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed attacks on energy infrastructure and European security issues with Austrian Federal Chancellor Christian Stocker.
Ukrainian President Zelensky discussed the energy situation in Ukraine during his meeting with Austrian Federal Chancellor Stocker.
Zelensky noted that Russia targets energy infrastructure every day in an attempt to leave the population without electricity and heating, and welcomed Austria’s decision last week to allocate funds to support the energy sector.
The meeting also included information on the Ukraine–United States–Russia trilateral delegation meetings held last week in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Zelensky said the talks primarily addressed military issues, as well as security guarantees.
It was emphasized that Ukraine’s accession to the European Union constitutes a security guarantee not only for Ukraine but for all of Europe. Zelensky said they are citing 2027 as a concrete target date and are counting on partners’ support.
Zelensky invited the chancellor to visit Ukraine, saying he would like to continue their dialogue face to face.
