Zelensky meets with Cypriot President Christodoulides
Kyiv, December 4 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides.
President Zelensky briefed President Christodoulides on the situation in Ukraine, particularly on the front lines, as well as on the priorities and work of the Ukrainian team in the negotiation process with partners.
Christodoulides highlighted the resilience of the Ukrainian people against Russia’s criminal invasion and stressed that any peace agreement must be based on UN principles and full respect for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The leaders discussed in detail the joint European agenda and the development of a new global role for Europe, which must become truly strong.
They also spoke about increasing sanction pressure on Russia. Zelensky thanked Cyprus for supporting the UN General Assembly resolution regarding Ukrainian children abducted by Russia.
