President Zelensky announced that he had met with Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys.

He thanked the entire Lithuanian people for their support of Ukraine since the first days of Russia's aggression, stating:

“We discussed regional security and the threats posed by Russia and Belarus, especially after the recent drone attack on Poland; strengthening sanctions policy; joint defense production; participation in the SAFE instrument and the PURL initiative; and assistance in reconstruction, demining, training, and rehabilitation of the wounded.”

Zelensky added: “Another important issue was support for Ukraine on its path to the EU, including the opening of the first negotiation group. We are also preparing for the UN General Assembly; our collective voice must be strong.”
