Zelensky emphasized that Europe needs a new modern defense production network, that countries must support each other and produce protection not only for themselves but for all of Europe.

He stressed that this would make Europe stronger and more resilient, adding: “While Russia is trying to prolong the war, we are building a security system that will push it toward peace. On land, in the air, at sea – we have the strength to pressure Russia to stop the war.”

Zelensky stated that they need more systems to shoot down missiles and drones, as well as modern fighter jets.

Highlighting that President Trump expects a stronger Europe with closer coordination with the U.S., Zelensky said:

“However, he is disappointed that some countries are still buying Russian oil, financing Putin’s war machine. Energy independence from Russia is vital for Europe’s security and the key to strong relations with the United States. Ukraine’s recovery is a fundamental economic project for all of Europe and must bring growth and development to every European country.”
