Zelensky: Ukrainians weave the pattern of their destiny with their own hands every day
Kyiv, May 21 (Hibya) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky celebrated his country's Independence Day, stating that the Ukrainian people shape their own destiny every day by defending their loved ones, rebuilding what has been destroyed, and building the future.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made a statement regarding Ukraine’s struggle for independence, the sacrifices of its people, and the future of the country.
Drawing attention to the heritage of history and its meaning today, Zelensky said: “For centuries we admired this pattern. But now it is our turn to create it ourselves — through our lives, our struggle, and every new step we take.”
Emphasizing the resilience shown by the Ukrainian people both on the front lines and in daily life, Zelensky stated: “Ukrainians weave this pattern with their own hands every day — they defend their loved ones, rebuild what was destroyed, heal wounds, teach children, and continue learning themselves. We preserve our memories and build the future.”
Zelensky concluded his statement with an emphasis on independence, saying: “Happy Independence Day to Ukraine! We celebrate the destiny we weave in our independence!”
