Azerbaijani President Aliyev attended the CIS Summit in Tajikistan
Dushanbe, October 10 (Hibya) – Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev attended the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) held in Dushanbe and held a bilateral meeting with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, who was on an official visit to Tajikistan’s capital, Dushanbe, attended the CIS Council of Heads of State meeting. Aliyev delivered speeches at both the narrow and extended sessions and discussed cooperation issues.
As part of his visit, Aliyev met with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, where the two leaders held bilateral talks. Aliyev also expressed his gratitude to all heads of state who supported the designation of the city of Lachin in the East Zangazur region as the CIS Cultural Capital for this year.
