Bulgarian Health Minister Kirilov attended the conference in Copenhagen
Copenhagen, October 28 (Hibya) – Bulgarian Health Minister Silvi Kirilov attended the high-level conference in Copenhagen titled “The Future of Ageing and Long-Term Care.”
According to a statement from the ministry, Bulgarian Health Minister Kirilov took part in the high-level conference “The Future of Ageing and Long-Term Care,” organized by Denmark under its Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
The session focused on topics such as prevention, early diagnosis, healthy lifestyles, and the right to autonomy in decision-making processes.
Participants also shared experiences in financing adapted to the needs of the elderly and discussed incentives for continuing employment after retirement.
Minister Kirilov stated that preventing loneliness and isolation among older people is essential.
Kirilov also shared the views of his European colleagues on the special importance of ensuring a more suitable living environment for the elderly.
