Ghebreyesus: We demand the release of health workers
Geneva, October 28 (Hibya) – World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said that the organization demands the immediate and unconditional release of the health workers kidnapped following the recent attack on the Saudi Maternity Hospital.
Ghebreyesus stated that the WHO received reports that after the recent attack on the Saudi Maternity Hospital in the city of El Fasher, Sudan, four doctors, a nurse, and a pharmacist were abducted.
He emphasized that they demand the immediate and unconditional release of the health workers, the protection of medical staff and patients, and the provision of humanitarian access to deliver medical assistance.
