Carney: Trade deal with Indonesia will boost competitiveness
Ottawa, Jan. 10 (Hibya) – Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said that the trade agreement signed with Indonesia will reduce or completely eliminate tariffs on the vast majority of exports.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney highlighted the importance of the trade agreement signed with Indonesia last fall. Noting that Indonesia, with a population of more than 280 million, is a growing market, Carney said the agreement will “reduce or completely eliminate tariffs on more than 95% of exports.”
The prime minister added that the agreement will make both export products and Canadian companies more competitive.
