Dar: Pakistan reiterates its principled support for the State of Palestine
Islamabad, October 9 (Hibya) — Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, stated that Pakistan reiterates its principled support for an independent State of Palestine based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
Dar noted that Pakistan welcomes the agreement on the first phase of the plan, which includes an immediate ceasefire, the release of hostages and detainees, and the uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
He expressed appreciation for U.S. President Donald Trump, as well as Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey for their efforts, saying: “We hope this will lead to a permanent ceasefire and lasting peace. Pakistan reiterates its principled support for an independent State of Palestine based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.”
