Polar bears in Russia settle in an abandoned research station
Moscow, October 9 (Hibya) – Polar bears appear to have taken up residence in an abandoned research station and its surroundings on an island in eastern Russia.
A group of polar bears has settled in an abandoned research station on Kolyuchin Island in eastern Russia.
A photographer captured drone footage of the animals.
Photographer Vadim Makhorov, who recently sailed near the island, captured drone footage of the animals. It appears the bears have made their dens in the research station, which was closed in 1992 and once housed scientists conducting Arctic research.
