European Parliament President Roberta Metsola held a final preparatory meeting with European Union (EU) Council President Antonio Costa ahead of the European Council (EUCO).

In a statement shared on social media, Metsola said that topics such as enlargement, competitiveness, and the European Union’s long-term budget were discussed ahead of the critical talks with EU leaders.

The discussions emphasized the need to strengthen coordination between the European Parliament and member states and to ensure that the expectations of European citizens remain at the center of decision-making processes.
