The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued a new statement regarding its operations in southern Lebanon.

According to the statement, a “security zone” approximately 10 kilometers deep has been established inside Lebanese territory in line with operational requirements.

The IDF stated that forces deployed in the area continue their activities to eliminate threats and enhance the security of communities in northern Israel.

The statement added that units are operating in designated operational sectors in southern Lebanon and that the security situation in the area is being closely monitored.
