Greece evacuates 277 of its citizens from the Middle East
Athens, March 7 (Hibya) - A total of 277 Greek citizens and their family members were brought to Athens by special flights from Oman and the United Arab Emirates in operations coordinated by the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs carried out operations to bring back Greek citizens affected by the conflict environment in the Middle East.
It was reported that a total of 277 Greek citizens and their family members were safely transported to Athens via special flights organized on March 6.
As part of the operation, 46 people from Oman were brought to Greece by special flights operated by Aegean Airlines and 89 people by SKY express.
Additionally, 142 Greek citizens and their family members were transported from the city of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates to Athens on two flights operated by Air Arabia.
