IDF officials stated that missiles were detected a short while ago being launched from Iran toward the territory of the State of Israel.

The statement said that air defense systems were activated to intercept the threat, and in the past minutes the Home Front Command sent direct early warning messages to mobile phones in the relevant areas.

The statement said: “The public is requested to act responsibly and follow the instructions – these instructions save lives.”

Citizens were called upon to enter protected areas upon receiving the alert and remain there until a new announcement. It was emphasized that leaving protected areas will only be possible after a clear and official instruction.

Authorities also stated that the public should continue to follow the instructions of the Home Front Command.
