Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi meets Indian Foreign Minister Jaishankar
Tehran, March 13 (Hibya) - Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar evaluated the consequences of the actions taken by the United States (US) and Israel against Iran on regional and global security.
Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi and Indian Foreign Minister Jaishankar discussed regional and international developments during a phone call. Araghchi informed his Indian counterpart about the latest situation resulting from the attacks and actions carried out by the US and Israel against Iran, drawing attention to their impact on regional and global stability and security.
The Iranian foreign minister emphasized that the Iranian government, people and armed forces are determined to exercise their legitimate right of self-defense against the aggressors. He also stressed the importance of regional and international institutions condemning the military attack against Iran. Araghchi stated that the constructive role that BRICS can play as a forum for developing multilateral cooperation is critical for supporting regional and global stability.
During the conversation, the Indian foreign minister also expressed his country’s readiness to expand bilateral and multilateral cooperation in regional and international forums. Jaishankar also emphasized that strengthening sustainable stability and security in the region is a collective necessity.
