Jerusalem, December 18 (Hibya) — The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office congratulated the United States for imposing sanctions on Appeals Chamber judges of the International Criminal Court (ICC) Gocha Lordkipanidze and Erdenebalsuren Damdin.
In a statement, the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office said that Israel congratulated the United States for imposing sanctions on ICC Appeals Chamber judges Gocha Lordkipanidze and Erdenebalsuren Damdin.
The statement praised the determination of the United States under the leadership of Secretary of State Marco Rubio and President Donald Trump, saying: “This reflects a determination to combat the scourge of lawfare, which poses a serious threat to both of our nations.”
The statement added:
“As long as the International Criminal Court refuses to comply with its own rules of complementarity or to acknowledge that it lacks jurisdiction over non-member states, it cannot be regarded as a legal institution.”
