Israeli Army expands targeted ground operation in southern Lebanon
Jerusalem, March 17 (Hibya) - The Israeli Army stated that the 36th Brigade has launched additional ground operations to expand the forward defense area in southern Lebanon.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that the 36th Brigade has recently initiated a new targeted ground operation aimed at expanding the forward defense zone in southern Lebanon. It was noted that the operation is being carried out simultaneously with the 91st Brigade and is a continuation of previous missions, aiming to strengthen forward defense and eliminate threats.
Prior to the operation, the IDF air force and artillery units struck several targets described as terrorist. The Israeli army stated that it will continue to respond strongly to attempts by Iran-backed Hezbollah to join the fighting and emphasized that no harm will be allowed to come to Israeli citizens.
