Brussels, February 23 (Hibya) – European Union (EU) High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas stated that everyone understands that diplomacy is preferable to war.

Noting that after a year of talks they have still not even achieved a ceasefire, Kallas stated:
“The obstacle to peace is not Ukraine, but Russia. We must reverse the scenario: instead of pressuring Ukraine to surrender territory, we should focus on what Russia must do to meet the basic conditions for a just and lasting peace.”
