In a statement, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the State of Qatar condemns the attack on a village in Zamfara State in the northwest of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, which resulted in dozens of deaths and the abduction of many women and children.

The statement added: “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterates the State of Qatar’s firm position rejecting violence, terrorism and criminal acts, regardless of the motives and reasons. On behalf of the State of Qatar, the Ministry extends its sincere condolences to the families of the victims, as well as to the Government and people of Nigeria, and wishes for the safe return of the abducted.”
