Kallas: The EU needs to take action for our stability
Brussels, January 15 (Hibya) – European Union (EU) High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas emphasized during her visit to Cyprus that the EU must take concrete steps on defense, stability, and values in order to shape global events.
During her visit to Cyprus, EU High Representative Kaja Kallas spoke about what the EU needs to do in the period ahead.
Expressing her satisfaction at being in Cyprus, Kallas said: “I am happy to return to Cyprus. We are undoubtedly going through a challenging period as we take on the Presidency of the EU Council. If we want to shape the course of events in the world, the EU needs to deliver concrete results and take action for our security, stability, and values.”
Referring to the work to be carried out with Cypriot Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos and the Cypriot EU Council Presidency, Kallas concluded her remarks by saying: “I truly look forward to close cooperation in strengthening European defense, consolidating stability in our neighboring countries, and continuing strong support for Ukraine.”
