Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz visited Gaza today to assess the situation on the ground ahead of a decision on whether the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) should continue their operations there.

He stated that he met with active-duty and reserve soldiers, spoke with them, and directly listened to their feelings and perspectives about the situation. “What great determination, dedication, and willingness to contribute... Hamas’ killers have met the wrong generation. The citizens of Israel can be proud of them – they deserve a big hug and deep appreciation. We have people we can rely on,” Katz said.
