Kos announced that Norway will provide an additional 40 million euros in financing for Ukraine through the European Union’s Ukraine Investment Framework.

It was stated that the contribution, announced in Brussels by Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide, would support Ukraine’s preparations for the upcoming winter.

Kos said that the financing would help bring Ukraine closer to the European Union energy system. It was emphasized that the investment would particularly be directed toward renewable energy and decentralized energy production projects, which would strengthen Ukraine’s energy security.

The statement also noted that this step reinforces Ukraine’s alignment with the European Union’s green transition priorities.
