Lahbib: EU countries are increasing their support for Venezuela
Brussels, June 26 (Hibya) - European Commissioner for Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib made a statement on the support provided by EU member states in response to the humanitarian situation in Venezuela.
European Commissioner for Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib said she was pleased that more EU countries were joining the relief efforts for Venezuela.
Lahbib said, “We are grateful that more EU countries are stepping in to help Venezuela.”
Referring to the scale of the mobilized assistance, Lahbib stated, “So far, the EU has mobilized more than 520 rescuers from teams deployed by the Czech Republic, Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Portugal and the Netherlands, as well as medical personnel from Italy and telecommunications equipment from Luxembourg.”
