Lavrov and Fidan discussed the Istanbul initiative on the Ukraine crisis
Moscow, May 13 (Hibya) – Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a phone call with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on May 12.
During the call, they discussed Russian President Vladimir Putin’s initiative to launch direct talks to resolve the Ukraine conflict, scheduled to begin on May 15 in Istanbul.
The parties exchanged views on advancing the diplomatic process and creating a possible framework for negotiations.
