Lazzarini: Storm Byron has engulfed Gaza
New York, December 11 (Hibya) – UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini issued a statement following Storm Byron, which has impacted Gaza.
Lazzarini stated that Storm Byron has fully taken hold of Gaza.
He emphasized that people who have lost everything are now facing yet another wave of misery. “For displaced families living in temporary shelters, rain means flooding, damage, and additional health risks,” he said.
Lazzarini added that UNRWA teams continue providing support wherever they are able to reach people, noting: “As always, UNRWA continues to work for Palestinian refugee communities.”
