Lithuanian Foreign Minister Budrys’ contacts in Chisinau
Chisinau, February 6 (Hibya) – Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys held a meeting in Chisinau with Moldova’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mihai Popșoi.
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Budrys said they held a very productive meeting with Moldova’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Popșoi, to advance a strong Lithuania–Moldova agenda.
Noting that the talks focused on strategic cooperation, regional security, resilience, energy, and Moldova’s reform path, Budrys stated:
“Despite intense pressure from Russia, Moldova has made real progress on EU-related reforms; this is the result of clear leadership, dedication, and resilience. Moldova’s recent experience in countering the Kremlin’s hybrid and electoral interference offers valuable lessons for strengthening democratic resilience across the region and throughout Europe.”
Budrys added that Lithuania continues to be a strong supporter of Moldova’s European future, stands by its people, and shares a strong belief that this goal is both important and achievable.
