Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni stated that the government has implemented new legal regulations as part of its strategy to ensure public order and enhance citizens’ safety.

Meloni emphasized that these steps are not one-off actions but reflect a long-term vision.

Referring to the government’s determination in security policy, Meloni said, “Today the Council of Ministers approved new security measures. These are not one-time measures, but the next step in the strategy this government has pursued since taking office. Over the years, we have built a clear vision: protecting citizens and ensuring that law enforcement can perform better and more safely.”

Summarizing the work carried out during her term, Meloni stated, “This path has led us to increase penalties for those who attack men and women in uniform, to employ around 40,000 personnel, to renew contracts that had been suspended for years, and to allocate resources that had never been allocated before. With the measures approved today, we are strengthening our tools to prevent and combat widespread crime.”

Noting that they will eliminate paradoxes related to theft and self-defense, Prime Minister Meloni concluded, “We are strengthening our ability to remove dangerous individuals from the most high-risk areas of cities. We are introducing harsher penalties for theft; making theft an offense prosecuted ex officio; and eliminating the paradox of facing a kidnapping investigation if you stop a thief who is robbing you while waiting for the police.”
