Berlin, August 7 (Hibya) – German Chancellor Friedrich Merz expressed his gratitude for US President Donald Trump's mediation efforts, stating: "We are in close contact with the US and our European partners."
Chancellor Merz announced that he had a phone call with Ukrainian President Zelensky regarding the meeting between US Special Envoy Witkoff and Russian President Putin.
Merz stated that both he and Zelensky are grateful for President Trump’s mediation efforts, adding: “We are in close contact with the US and our European partners.”
