Milatovic meets with IMF Director Georgieva
Washington, March 27 (Hibya) - President of Montenegro Jakov Milatovic met with International Monetary Fund (IMF) Director Kristalina Georgieva in Washington to discuss Montenegro’s economic development strategies in the face of global challenges.
Montenegrin President Jakov Milatovic held a high-level meeting with IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva as part of his intensive economic diplomacy activities in Washington, D.C.
Stating that the meeting focused on Montenegro’s macroeconomic stability and future vision, Milatovic said, “In our meeting, we discussed the future direction of Montenegro’s economy in the face of global challenges.”
Sharing the goals of his country’s new economic model, President Milatovic emphasized the critical importance of partnership with the IMF and stated:
“Montenegro must build an economy based on investment, production, and exports, supported by stable financing and strong institutions. Cooperation with the IMF continues to be an important support for this development process and the country’s economic priorities.”
