Montenegrin President Milatovic discusses EU membership goal with Kallas
Podgorica, September 16 (Hibya) - Montenegrin President Jakov Milatovic met with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas to discuss Montenegro’s goal of becoming the 28th member of the European Union by 2028 and international developments.

The meeting addressed the reform agenda related to Montenegro’s European Union accession process. Milatovic said their strategic goal is for Montenegro to become the 28th member of the European Union by 2028 and emphasized the need to remain focused on reform efforts.
Milatovic and Kallas also discussed the obligation to respect the decisions of international criminal courts. Milatovic said that glorifying war criminals is not part of European values.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on EU-China relations in the context of the Chinese foreign minister’s upcoming visit to Montenegro.
