Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Farseen Aghapakian Shaheen, received a number of honorary consuls accredited to the State of Palestine at the ministry’s headquarters.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister for Administrative, Financial and Consular Affairs, Ambassador Mohammed Abu Jamilah, along with some department heads of the ministry.

Shaheen called on the consuls to be more proactive and to establish contacts with the governments of the countries they represent, as well as with civil society organizations and media outlets, in order to encourage the recognition of the State of Palestine and to mobilize support for the upcoming New York conference.
