Tehran, August 9 (Hibya) - Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said the "neither war nor peace" situation in relations with the United States (US) must be brought to an end and proposed establishing a committee to address violations of memoranda of understanding.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Iran must break out of the "neither war nor peace" impasse with the US.
According to China's state broadcaster CCTV, Pezeshkian said that every memorandum of understanding encounters violations and argued that a committee should be established to address such violations instead of allowing the war to flare up again.
Commenting also on the Strait of Hormuz, Pezeshkian said the US should have complied with the arrangements established by Iran and Oman, but that this did not happen. Pezeshkian said Iran's response to this led to conflict.
