President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone call with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
At the request of NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, President Erdoğan held a phone call with him.
During the call, the latest developments regarding the war between Ukraine and Russia, as well as regional and global issues, were discussed.
President Erdoğan stated that progress had been made in the Istanbul talks initiated to achieve a permanent ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia, and emphasized the importance of this process also allowing for positive developments on humanitarian issues.
During the conversation, NATO Secretary General Rutte shared his assessments regarding the situation in Ukraine ahead of the upcoming Alaska Summit between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
President Erdoğan also stated that Türkiye is closely following the meeting to be held in Alaska.
