President Erdoğan spoke with Ukrainian President Zelensky
The President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, held a phone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
During the conversation, bilateral relations between Türkiye and Ukraine were discussed, along with the latest developments in the Ukraine-Russia war, the peace process, as well as regional and global issues.
President Erdoğan emphasized that Türkiye continues its diplomatic efforts to ensure that the Ukraine-Russia war results in lasting peace. He stressed that, in the event peace is achieved, Türkiye will continue to contribute to Ukraine’s security, underlining that a fair solution is possible and that negotiations between the parties must be strengthened and maintained.
Erdoğan also stated that Türkiye is ready to host high-level talks that could pave the way for peace.
During the call, President Erdoğan also congratulated Ukraine on its Independence Day.
